Obituary

Zackary Ryan Tilson, 26, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on March 27, 2020. Zack was born April 25, 1993 in Iola Kansas to the joy of David and Denice Tilson.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Clifford Quenzer and great grandparents Bob and Melva Standrich.

He is survived by his parents David and Denice Tilson, sisters Brittni (Josh) Brown and Morgan Tilson, brother Joshua Tilson; grandparents Dolores Quenzer, JoDeen and Howard Wells, Dave and Darla Tilson. As well as his niece and nephew Marci Ann and Forest Brown who Zack loved very much. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

As a child Zack accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized. He enjoyed youth wrestling where he wrestled for Maize Kids club and Greater Gold Wrestling club. His love was for football and started playing in the 2 nd grade. He played for the Bears, Wolverines and Maize youth football teams. Zack played for Maize South middle school and high school football teams. He developed many wonderful friendships with players and coaches during this time. He graduated Maize South High School in 2012 and went on to attend Friends University where he was a member of the Falcons football team. He also attended class at Butler Community College where he took some courses in firefighting. Zack enjoyed annual vacation trips with his family and friends to Branson Missouri. He loved trout fishing, hiking and swimming in the freezing cold waters of Lake Taneycomo on these annual trips. Zack loved his border collie dog Autumn. He enjoyed teaching Autumn many different commands and tricks.

Zack was known for his big smile and kind heart. He would stand up and protect and defend others when needed. His dream was to have a wife and children someday. He is deeply loved by his parents, brother and sisters. He will be tremendously missed by all his family and friends. We trust that Zack is at rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

There will be no services at this time. Cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established with Best Chance Recovery, Inc.
