Voges, William Frederick Sr. "Fred" "Bill" "Fritz", 82, retired woodworker, carpenter and construction contractor, slipped away to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska, third child of Firmin William Voges and Abigail Mable "Bobby" (Thayer) Voges. He was raised in Nebraska City, Nebraska where he met and married Hartense "Sally" Faler on April 14, 1951 in Sidney, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War Era from January 10, 1951 to January 29, 1954. He was in Company "F" 511th Airborne Infantry Regiment where he was a paratrooper and boxer. He was a black belt in karate and scuba diver. He loved singing, woodworking, photography, and most of all his family. He is survived by his wife and love of his life for 61 years, Hartense "Sally" Voges; children, Michael (Jeannie) Voges of Valley Center, Ks, Cecilia (Ralph) Chapman of Woodlake, CA, Tim (Cathy) Voges of Riverside, CA, Mark (Genea) Voges of Newton, Ks, Diane (Tony) Herr of Austin, IN and Steven (Loretta) Voges of Riverside, CA; grandchildren, Michael Arnold Schmidt, Shawn (Virginia) Voges, Christopher Voges, Amber (Tim) Swartz, Heather (Doug) Marshall, Trevor (Christy) Chapman, Casey (Karissa) Chapman, Diane (DJ) Matlock, T.J. Voges, Daniel (Roxann) Voges, Jon Voges, Matthew (Caleshe) Voges, Cody Voges, Michael (Jamie Herr) McAlarney, April (Mike) Gross and Josh (Michelle) Voges, and 22 great grandchildren, Rachel, Savannah, Dylan, Kayla, Elana, Jeremiah, Aurora, Caedmon, EmmaLey, C.J., Mary, Olivia, Brec, Kiara, Madeline, Emmett, Ellory, Shawn, Samuel, Kaylee, Meghan and Brad; brothers, F. He is preceded in death by son, Rick Voges; nephew, James "Rocky" Voges, parents, Firmin & Bobby Voges; sisters, Phyllis Ann Shepherd and Dorothy Marilyn Hemmer.
