WICHITA, KANSAS


WILLIAM CLARK ELLINGTON, JR., 89, retired City of Wichita Historian, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. He was born at Wichita, Kansas to William 'Clark' Ellington, Sr. and Mary (Shepard) Ellington. He was a graduate of North High School, Wichita, Kansas. He was an U.S. Army and Korean War Era Veteran. He is survived by his wife Valerie Ellington; children Bill (Gail) Baxter of Branson, Missouri, Janna Jones of Ashville North Carolina, Traci (Jim) Stewart of Memphis, Tennessee, and Julie (Brad) of Allen, Texas; grandchildren Justine, Graham, Harrison, Samantha, Natalie and Olivia; great granddaughter Veronica; sister Lea LaBarge of Carson, California; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Clark and Mary Ellington and sister Jean Woods. Celebration of Life Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, Kansas. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center.
