Boyer, William "Bill" Alva, 96, retired Santa Fee Railroad Clerk, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. He was born in Hartville, Missouri to Silas Andrew Boyer and Annis Amelia (Fisher) Boyer. He served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II Veteran.. He is survived by his children, Barbara (Stan) Harms of Marion, Stephan (Vicky) Boyer of Valley Center, and Sue (Galen) Atkinson of Rose Hill; brother, Tom Boyer of Wichita; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Boyer, parents Silas and Annis Boyer, brother Frank Boyer, sisters Mary Spencer and Ruth Lund. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Monday, April 29 at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas. Graveside services 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, at the Sunnydale Park Cemetery, 10357 N.
