William George Barndt, 82, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020. He was born in Garnett, Kansas to George William Barndt and Thelma Pearl (Brown) Barndt.  He was a graduate of Garnett High School and went on to get his Bachelors. He served in the Army National Guard. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Etta Marie (Meliza) Barndt. He retired from Albertson & Hein, Inc being gifted in working with all types of machinery. William was an Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster.  He was an avid fisherman with his favorite being bass fishing and hunting ducks. His greatest joy and pride was being with his family.

He is survived by his children Robert Barndt, Jonathen Barndt and Kathryn Fiechtl; grandchildren Zackery Fiechtl, Trever Fiechtl and Austin Fiechtl; brothers-in-law Robert Jr., Oliver, Claude and Jim Jr; sisters-in-law Sharon and Clar; many other family and friends. He was preceded by his parents George and Thelma Barndt and this past February his beloved wife Etta 'Marie' Barndt.

Graveside family services will be held at Garnett Cemetery, Garnett, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com.
