WICHITA, KS
Brashier, Willard Leonard "Red", 91, retired City of Wichita Inspector, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was born in rural Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Leonard E. Brashier and Bridgette (Mahoney) Brashier. He attended Oklahoma A & M. He was a U.S. Marine on the USS Oklahoma during the attack on Pearl Harbor and World War II Veteran. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred; daughter, Lori (Tom) Williamson of Wichita, son, Darryl (Pattie) Brashier of NC, and step-son, Bill (Yumiko) Siebold of CA; grandchildren, Nick Williamson, Adam Thomas-Brashier and Nathan Thomas-Brashier; 3 great grandchildren; nephew, Lenny "Bud" Brashier of Casper, WY. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gene Brashier, sisters, Dixie Bracamento and Elva Brashier. Private Family Services will be held at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery, 1208 N.
