Wayne Edward Venso, 78, of Newton, Kansas, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

He was born in Newton, Kansas on April 11, 1945, to Neil & Myrtle (Theander) Venso, and spent his entire life serving his community of friends. Wayne attended Newton Public Schools before graduating from barber college followed by a career of 59 years cutting hair, giving away donuts, and telling the worst jokes.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father Neil, mother Myrtle, sister Virginia Soyez, and brother-in-law Donald Keasling, and is survived by his loving wife, Brenda and their fur baby Cheyenne, his son, Mikall (Tami Goldman), daughter Melisha Corbus (Michael Corbus), sister Marjorie Keasling, and brother-in-law, Joe Soyez, as well as eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Celebration will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, from 3 to 6 pm at Salem United Methodist Church, 115 Old Main St, Newton, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the National Park Foundation.
