Wayne E. Jamis, age 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on January 21 ^st , 2021 surrounded by his wife and children. Wayne loved bowling, woodworking, was a KU Jayhawks basketball fan, and enjoyed fishing. A hardworking, loving man, Wayne was respected and adored by all that knew him. He was dedicated to his family and always willing to lend a helping hand to his sons, daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Wayne spent years volunteering his time making hand-built wooden toys for children in need. Wayne was a United States Army Veteran who served in the 82 ^nd Airborne Division, the Kansas Army National Guard and retired from Boeing in 1993 after 32 years of service.

Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ina (Stoffer) Jamis, one sister and four brothers.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janice (Sumner) Jamis, daughter Sherry (James) Pullen, sons Kevin (Julie) Jamis and Kent (Pamela) Jamis, brothers Robert Jamis and Dan (Sarah) Jamis, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members.

Per Wayne's wishes and with his family's health in mind, his internment and celebration of life will be held on a later date that has yet to be determined.
