WICHITA, KS (formerly of Chanute)
Frankenbery, Virginia Irene (Cole), 89, Virginia's Quilt Shop owner, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012. She is survived by her son, Dean (Jewel) Frankenbery and daughter, Jean (Gary) Stahl of Wichita; grandchildren, Kelly (David) Claypool of Wichita, Dr. Todd (Sara) Frankenbery of Benton, Michelle (John) Hall of Louisville, KY, and Dr. Wendy (Clint) Reynolds of Wichita; great grandchildren, Ashley and Kate Frankenbery, Allison and Kelsey Hall, Lauren, Aundrea and Lindsey Reynolds; sister, Lucille Frankenbery of Chanute; sister-in-laws, Margaret Neu and Lola Thurman of Wichita, Dorothy Cole of Midwest City, OK and Pat Frankenbery of Grants Pass, OR; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, parents Ickabod Cole and Bertha Cole-Stanfield, brothers Bobby, Junior, Charles, Richard and Jack Cole, and sister Betty Moffatt. Visitation with family is 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 24, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Graveside Services at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 25, at Altoona Cemetery, Altoona, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Hospice Care of Kansas, 2622 W. Central Ste 501, Wichita, Ks 67203 and Lakepoint Assisted Living, 1315 N. West, Wichita, Ks 67203.
