Virgil Glen Allen, 79, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Glen Loyd Allen and Esther Audley (Stoops) Allen.   He was raised in the Wichita area where he attended school and was an East High School 1961 graduate.  After graduation he went on to be a Machinist where he enjoyed working for many years and retiring from Kice Industries, Wichita, Kansas. After retirement he enjoyed being an usher during the Baseball season at Lawrence Dumont Stadium and at Intrust Bank Arena where he was an usher in the suites. He was recognized for being a hard worker that enjoyed what he did. He was a season ticket holder for WSU basketball and baseball where he loved attending. Virgil was a long time member of Central Community and met the love of his life, Rebecca, there.

He is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Esther Allen.

Virgil is survived by his wife of 35 yrs, Rebecca Allen, children Jeff Allen of Sedgwick, Julie Ruth (Steve) of Wichita, Janette Wilson (Charles) of Wichita, Raenonda Stanley (Kirk) of Valley Center and Rhandi Worley (Ivan) of Phoenix, AZ; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and brother Paul Allen; many other family and friends.
