VIOLA LUCY (CURLESS) DARBYSHIRE, 99, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas to Charles and Flossie Elvina (Barnes) Curless. Viola was a homemaker and also during World War II worked at Cessna Aircraft. She is preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings, 5 husbands, daughter Faye Evelyn Mayes and son Albert Walker, Jr. Viola treasured and loved her family. She is survived by her children Elvina (Bill) Duree, Leota Thompson, Cecil (Judith) Stark, Geneva (Jerry) Chase and Stephen Walker; many grandchildren, many many great grandchildren and lots of great-great grandchildren; many other family and friends. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 18 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 19 at West Side Nazarene Church, 2300 S. Seneca, Wichita.
