VICTORIA LEIGH (DAWSON) OAKMAN , 49, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to William Clyde and Josephine (Graff) Dawson. Vicki attended Valley Center schools and was a 1985 graduate of Valley Center High School. After Southern Tech she went on to enjoy many years of being a Paralegal in Family Law and loved her work as a Hairstylist – Cosmetologist. Vicky brought joy to so many aspects of her life and truly enjoyed her family. She is survived by her husband Frank Oakman; children Rejena Smith, Jay (Shalynne) Smith, Travis Smith, Kassidy Oakman, Kaila Layne and Tyler Oakman; grandchildren Chaise, Stephen, Asha, Hunter, Malaki, Dominic and Calvin; brothers Bill (Sarah) Dawson, John (Kathy) Dawson, Mike (Winnie) Dawson, Tom (Peggy) Dawson; sister Sherrill (Joe) McDonald; sister-in-law Faith Dawson; beloved pet Max; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Josephine Dawson, and her brother James Dawson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 10 at the First Baptist Church, 200 E. 'C' Ave, Kingman, Kansas.
