VERNON CHARLES FOX
Vernon departed from this life on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Vernon was born on May 15, 1929 near Severy Kansas to Harrison 'Harry' and Esther (Forbes) Fox. He was the oldest of 5 children. Vernon graduated from Buffalo Kansas High School in 1948. He married Grace Jacob on March 8, 1953. Vernon was a plumber for 25 years and retired at age 64. Vernon had an entrepreneurs heart, including renting bicycles built for two at Riverside Park in the 60's, a stump grinding business, and was best known as a beekeeper around Severy Kansas.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years, and brothers Lowell Fox and George Fox. Survivors include brother Robert Fox (Donna) of Wichita KS; sister Carol Meyer of Severy KS; daughters Colleen Fox Evanega of Wichita KS and LeAnn Maskrid (George) of Valley Center KS; sons David Fox of Wichita KS and Glenn Fox (Kim) of Tulsa OK; grandchildren Nichole Evanega Laurence (Lloyd), Andrea Maskrid Hubbard (Kyle), Brit Maskrid, Shawnmarie Rooker and Jacob Fox; and five greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center, Kansas, 10:00 a.m., Thursday September 27, 2018. Graveside following the service at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N.
