VERNA  RAE  (RINDELS) WILSON , age 83, also known as Grandma Sunshine, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019, with family by her side. Verna Rae was born in Grundy Center, IA, to Gus and Esther Rindels. She married and eventually raised her 4 children in Mt Hope, Kansas, moved around the country and finally settled back in Wichita to retire in order to help raise her grand and great grandkids. Verna Rae had a unique ability to connect with and remember everyone she came in contact with. She made everyone feel special, truly loved, and cared for. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, her flowers, music, and her church family, but most of all fiercely and loyally cherished her Grandchildren - including extended and great-grandkids. Verna Rae was always busy helping others, getting to know her neighbors, and volunteering at church. She was the loving matriarch of the family, the heart-center and fiber that bound us all together.  She is preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Tom Scott and John Clark, and is survived by her current husband, Dean Wilson; children Bryan, Liz, Lori, Kimberly; grandchildren Brandi, MacKenzie, Boston, Cheven, Talon, Phoenixx, Valhalla, Elysium, NaSya, and Sage; great-grandchildren Alexander, Easton, and Joseph; as well as siblings and many other extended family members. She leaves a legacy of great love and will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7, at Reliance Community Church, 11910 W. Pawnee, Wichita, Kansas. Memorials may be designated in her memory to Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, Kansas 67202. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
