Todd Michael Renner, 56

Born September 2, 1970 to James and Dorothy Meeds Renner. Husband to his loving wife Mona Renner. Survived by sons Daniel Renner and Justin Hiebert, daughter Rachael Hiebert, brother Jeffery Renner and wife Mari, sisters Kimberly Renner Rusco and wife Vanessa, Heather Lackrone and husband Matthew, Amy Stuhlsatz and husband Dillen, parents Dorothy and Henry Gray, Norma and Wayne Gehring and Dean and Velda Royse. Todd passed away on September 24, 2026 at 4:20 p.m.

Preceded in death by father James Renner, daughter Heather Henning and son Chase Stucky.

He will be missed by his 3 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, many cousins, many friends and his dogs Chloe and Sevan.

Born with a steady rhythm in his heart and a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys, Todd has always been a man who brought warmth, humor, and music into every room he entered. He gave more than he ever asked for, and those who love him are holding tightly to the memories that make him who he was.

Todd cherished his mother and father, who have been central figures in his life, offering love, guidance, and unwavering support. His father passed when Todd was very young — a loss that shaped him deeply and remained a quiet part of his story. Todd also loved Mona’s parents, who welcomed him fully and became an important part of his family.

Todd loved his three sisters, his brother, his son, and the children and grandchildren he loved as his own. He never cared about the word “step”; love made everyone his own and he loved them with all of his heart. Todd also shared a lifelong friendship with Charles Williams, his closest friend, whose loyalty, laughter, and presence were constants throughout Todd’s life.

A lifelong drummer, Todd found rhythm everywhere — tapping out beats on steering wheels, countertops, and anything within reach. Music followed him throughout his life. He was also a gifted cook and grill master, known for meals that brought people together and made ordinary days feel special. His garden was another place where he poured out his heart, tending plants with patience and pride.

Todd’s love for animals was unmistakable. Chloe, Sevan, Sean, and JJ were not just pets; they were family, each one held close in his gentle, loyal way.

His life has been defined by love, creativity, and devotion to the people and creatures he cared for. His days were filled with small, beautiful moments — tapping out a beat, tending to a plant, creating a new recipe in the kitchen, flipping something on the grill, calling out to a pet, laughing with family and cherishing every day he spent with Mona. These moments are his legacy: simple, honest, and full of heart.

Todd found his greatest love later in life. After several marriages, he often said he “saved the best for last” and had been searching for the woman who would truly be his partner. With Mona, he found that. Their bond was deep, steady, and full of the companionship he had always hoped for and Mona treasured that connection with her whole heart.

Todd was one of a kind and will truly be missed.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30th at the Valley Center Community Center at 314 E Clay, Valley Center, KS in the Cottonwood Room.
