Obituary

Timothy Lee Armstead passed away on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas. Timothy Lee Armstead, born October 3rd, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas.  He was born in Wichita, Kansas to William Ray Armstead and Mildred Marie Mather. He was a lifelong resident of Wichita, Kansas, where  he attended Heights High School and was a graduate of NRI Schools with a Masters Course in Microcomputers and Microprocessors in July of 1991. He worked as a meat cutter from 1969 starting with IGA and moving to Dillons until 1993. Tim enjoyed learning all he could about aviation and earned his pilots license in 1976. Other things that Tim enjoyed was watching the Chiefs play football, riding Harley's, fishing/camping and being around his children, grandchildren and his large extended family. Tim had three special marriages that brought many blessings to his life.

He is preceded in death by his wife Freda Lynn Armstead, his father William Ray Armstead, his mother Mildred Marie Burdette, his brothers Ray Armstead, Jon Armstead, Edgar "Ned" Armstead, Steven Roy Day, and his sister Alicia Harris.

Tim is survived by his brother James Day  and wife Linda of Park City; sisters Alexis Wood  of Wichita,  Alyson Farris and husband Lee of Goddard; his children Rhonda Toothman and husband Lowell of Wichita, Jennifer Keene and husband Jason of Harrah, OK, David Armstead of Bartlesville, OK, Scott Armstead of Wichita, Anthony Armstead and wife Cristina of El Dorado, KS; grandchildren Krystal Voth (Steven), Rikki Keene, Tyler Cummings (Chiffany), Tina Cannon (Bradley), Kaitlyn Kemerling (Billie), Trenton Keene (Dallas), Kimberly Andrews (Daylan), Trevor Keene, Timothy Widener, Emily Widener, Riley Armstead, SiouxAna Armstead and Corsyn Armstead; great grandchildren Liam Keene, Aleyah Kemerling, Mayleona Keene, Azazel Toothman, Evelyn Andrews, Carrie Mae Cummings and four on the way.  Several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much; many other family and friends.

Family will gather at 10:30 am at Baker Funeral Home Chapel to share memories with Pastor John DiZazzo officiating.  He will be laid to rest by his wife at the Onago Cemetery in Onago, Kansas.
