Thomas Leo Hammes, 73, passed away on January 15, 2025. He was born in Spaulding Nebraska to Jack and Mary (McLain) Hammes on May 19, 1951.

Tom grew up in Wichita attending West High School and began working at Cessna at the age of 18.  From there he continued his education and advanced to Manager of Production Scheduling before he retired.

He loved being in the mountains, hiking and camping. Along with his dogs Sawyer and then Lenny, his Velcro dog.

He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Hammes, father Jack Hammes, and his daughter Jamie Caster.

Tom is survived by his son Justin T Hammes wife Amber Hammes, granddaughters Rileigh Hammes, Kaycee Odell and Elizabeth Caster, and nephew Marion Hammes.

A Visitation will be held 2-3 pm, Wednesday, February 5, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center.
