Teresa Kay Bolivar, 50, of Sublette, KS, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in hospice in Hutchison, KS, following a brief illness.

Teresa was born in Garden City, KS, attended school in Sublette and Satanta and resided most of her life in Sublette.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Simona Alvarado, and her older brother Gabriel (Junior) Alvarado.

Teresa is survived by her children:  Veronica B. Salazar (husband Patrick) and grandson Gabriel J. Salazar of Kansas City, MO, Jose Alejandro (Alex) Bolivar of the home, and Erik D. Bolivar of Liberal, KS.  She also leaves her sister, Antonia C. Roper (husband Michael) of Kansas City, MO, and a brother, Jose Luis (Joe) Alvarado of Kansas City, MO.

Per Teresa's wishes, cremation followed by a private service for immediate family only.  Arrangements are being handled by Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. (www.bakerfhvc.com)

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Teresa are suggested either to the Hospice House of Reno County, 1523 E. 20 ^th Avenue, Hutchinson, KS 67502, or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.  Condolences may be sent to the home at P.O. Box 36, Sublette, KS 67877.
