Mertes, Susanne S. (Glänzel), 52, former nurse and medical transcriptionist, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born and raised in Bottrop and Düsseldorf / Germany to Herbert and Erna Glänzel. She is survived by her husband Michael Mertes, son Christopher Mertes of the home, brother Brian W. (Barbara) Sieland, Sweden, nephew Björn Sieland, niece Daniela Ebeling of Germany, serveral nieces and nephews in Kansas including special friends Mel Brown and Darrell Steen.
