Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Robinson, a beloved mother, sister, and friend. Susan left this world on April 15, 2025, at the age of 72, in Wichita, Kansas. Susan was born on July 15, 1952, in Newton, Kansas, to Frank and Ethel (Patton) Spangler. Growing up in Wichita, Susan attended North High School, where she graduated.

She married Bruce Robinson in 1970, and they had two children, Craig and Tracie. She has 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Bruce and Susan moved to Clay Center, Kansas where they raised Is Craig and Tracie.  Bruce and Susan later divorced.  She remained in Clay Center.

An avid gardener, Susan found solace in nurturing her plants, flowers, and vegetable gardens.  Her green thumb was admired by all. Susan also had a passion for fishing, finding peace and tranquility by the water's edge. She enjoyed spending her afternoons engaged in various crafts and would often challenge herself with phone solitaire to stay sharp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ethel Spangler, as well as her siblings Karen, Danny, and Ronald.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Tracie, and son Craig, both residing in Wichita, Kansas.  She also leaves behind her sister Terry and brother Gary.

In addition to her immediate family, Susan's presence will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Susan's life at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 28. Graveside Services at Ascension Cemetery, 7100 E 45th St N Bel Aire, Ks. Celebration of Life and luncheon will follow at Sedgwick County Park in the Sunflower Pavilion.

Susan's memory will forever be etched in our hearts. We find solace in knowing that she is at peace, surrounded by the beauty of the heavenly garden she now tends.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
