Susan L. Livengood, 76, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born January 8, 1948, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Harold E. Reeves and Betty J. (Santee) Reeves. Her professional career was primarily spent serving in educational institutions, concluding at Friends University. During retirement she remained active traveling with family and volunteering for her church and the Greater Wichita YMCA.

Sue is survived by her husband of 56 years, Steven R. Livengood, along with her two daughters, Lori Livengood of McPherson, Kansas, and Kari (Corey) Ames of Maize, Kansas. Sue's legacy lives on through her four grandchildren, Mea Ames, Andrew Ames, Lea Ames and Evan Ames. Sue is also survived by her brother James (Barbara) Reeves of Atlanta, Georgia; nieces Caitlin (Zach) Reeves Greenamyre of Atlanta, Georgia; Amelia Reeves of New Orleans; and great-nephew Sascha Greenamyre. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of Life Service will take place10 am, Friday, April 19, at First United Methodist Church in Valley Center, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in her memory to Kansas Humane Society at kshumane.org or mailed to 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
