VALLEY CENTER, KANSAS

SUE (UNDERWOOD) STEVENS , 81, passed away November 4, 2017 at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, Kansas after a long illness. She was born September 25, 1936 at home in Wichita, Kansas to James Davidson Underwood and Dorothea Alice (Howard) Underwood. She attended Valley Center Schools where she did cheerleading Jr. and Sr. High, and was a 1954 graduate from Valley Center High School. She was a very active member of the Valley Players and starred in several plays. Sue and her husband of 58 years Lou, enjoyed life on the farm, bass fishing and Sue loved being the family historian. She is survived by her son Randy (Pam) Stevens, her grandchildren, Cory See, Lindsay Davis, Troy Stevens, two great granddaughters, her brother Bruce Underwood, one niece, several nephews, many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lou, her son Ronald, daughter Debbie and sister Sally Alstatt.

Visitation 5-7 p.m., Thursday, November 9, at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 10 at United Methodist Church, 4533 E. 61st N., Kechi, Kansas. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Hospice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com.
