Steven W Wiens was born 3/15/48 at SBA Hospital in El Dorado, Ks, the 3 ^rd child of Albert (Bud) Wiens and Esther Kingsley Wiens. He was found at his home in Furley, Ks deceased, on March 24, 2020.   His parents pre-decease him.

Steve is survived by his brother, Terry, of Wichita Ks,; sister, Cynthia (Mike) Lemke of El Dorado, and neices and nephews, Greg Wiens, Salina, Ks., Darcey (Cameron) Klein of DeSoto, Ks, Katie (Dave) McGinley, Wichita, Ks, Denise (Bob) Unruh of El Dorado, Melissa (Shane) Smith, Rosalia, Ks., and Christina (Doug) Mounday of Olatha, Ks.  Great Nieces and Nephews are Landon Wiens, Fremont NE, Emily, Haley and Seth Wiens, Valley Center, Ks., Isabelle Klein, Manhattan, Ks., Alizabeth Klein and Ethan Klein, DeSoto, Ks., Waylon and Nolan McGinley, Wichita, Ks. Evan Unruh and Easton Unruh, El Dorado, Ks., Brett Petty, Wichita, Ks.  Kyle (Chelsea) Anderson, Zanesville, Oh and Kayela (Rick) Roberson of Bysville, Ohio.

Steve joined the Army Reserves after High School, his basic training was done at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri.  He was a draftsman for Guerdon Manufacturing in Newton for several years, then went to work for Uncle Gib Wiens, who taught him the carpentry business.  Steve went into business for himself and designed and built homes in Butler, Sedgwick and Harvey Counties.  He was known for his finish carptentry work.  Steve loved the outdoors, loved to get together "with the guys" to hunt and fish.  He also had a love of automobiles, and looked forward to restoring one last vehicle.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Steve's life will be announced at a later date.  In the meantime, the family would enjoy hearing from others who have fond memories of Steve. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com.
