Stanley Gene Rockwell, age 69, of Newton, Kansas passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Born September 16th, 1953, in Denver, Colorado to Bonnie (Euard) and William C. Rockwell, Stan grew up in a variety of places, including Georgetown, CO and Salina, KS. He was a mechanic at Buxman Motors in Newton, moving from Salina in 1980 to help open the dealership. He retired from Buxman in 2010.

Stan enjoyed working on and restoring cars, creating beautiful furniture in his woodworking shop, and hanging out with the guys over a beer at Bill's Bar and Moxie's. He was humble and generous to a fault, and would give you his last dollar or the shirt off his back.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ramona Lee Rockwell-Casto. He is survived by his siblings William Rockwell, Sandy Wilcynski, Danny Thurman, Mike Gongola, special friend Carolyn May, nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Scooter.

Stan chose cremation, and asked that his final resting place be in the Colorado mountains. No service will be held, but memorials may be made to your local animal shelter.
