Sidney Stephen Landwehr, 77, passed away Sunday, March 26 ^th , 2023 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Hardtner, Kansas to Martin Joseph Landwehr and Florence Mae (Carriker) Landwehr. He was a lifelong resident of Wichita and Goddard, Kansas. He graduated from West High School in Wichita. He was a partner at Hartley's Iron for a decade and was self-employed at S.L. MFG until his retirement.

His hobbies were race cars, motorcycles, hunting and fishing. In his later years, he was president of the Salt Plains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Martin A. Landwehr, Edmond Lee Landwehr and sister Rose Z. Moran.

Sidney is survived by his wife Rita Landwehr and sons Sidney B. (Huong) Landwehr, Stephen B. Landwehr and Joseph L. (Gayla) Landwehr; grandchildren Ashley, Amanda, Fiona, Aleiah, Sophia, Daxton, Kaelyn and Linnea; two great grandchildren Kye and Riley; brother Michael Landwehr and sisters Katherine Fikes and Margaret Landwehr; several nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

Please join us in celebrating his life Wednesday, April 5, 2023. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. both held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 861 N Socora St, Wichita, KS 67212.
