Some people only walk this earth a short time.  Their departure reminds us that the angels are watching over us.  Shirley Ann West rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings.

Shirley Ann (McAmis) West, 79 passed away Sunday May 10 ^th , 2020.  She was born in Topeka, KS to Viola Mae Higbee  and Richard Lyle McAmis on March 16 ^th 1941.

Shirley was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church and regularly  held bible study in her home.  She also worked at Intrust Bank of Valley Center for many years,

Shirley was active in all her children's activities including the Valley Center Swim Club.  She enjoyed crocheting scarves and making rag rugs for family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Don West.  Their children Cindy Harmon of Haysville Ks, Steve and Susie West of Stilwell Ks, and Stephanie and Jeff Hawthorn of Valley Center Ks. Eight Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren. Her brothers Larry McAmis of Evertt Wa, Ray & Patti Spencer of Topeka, Ks  and Mike & Lori Spencer of Topeka Ks. Brother in law Ron Falk of Topeka Ks, and many nieces  and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her Sister Devina Falk and Sister in law Toni McAmis.
