Shirley Marlene (Johnston) Johnson, 92, loving wife, mother and friend, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 22, 2024.  Shirley was born July 2, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa to Paul W. Johnston and Bernice C. (May) Johnston.

Shirley grew up on a dairy farm in Southeastern Kansas and enjoyed her many special pets over the years.  She attended school at Labette County Community High School in Altamont, Kansas.  She moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1950 where she worked in the insurance industry for many years.  In 1957 she married Charles Johnson.  They had two children and celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Shirley enjoyed numerous hobbies and interests over the years.  Some of her favorite hobbies were renovating houses, interior design, flower gardening, playing the piano, sewing and crafts.  She was always busy helping others and generously gave of her time and talents.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and survived by her son Scott, daughter Jolene, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Interment:  Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Parsons, Kansas.
