Sherman Gail Schweer, 95, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was born in Bentley, Kansas to George and Alice (Murphy)  Schweer.

He was a long time resident of Valley Center Kansas where he attended school and graduated. He met the love of his life, Iris working on a farm. He was a United States Air Force and Korean War Veteran, along with being a Captain in the Sedgwick County Fire Department. He helped raise three beautiful daughters along with a handful of grandchildren and great grandchildren. In the later years of his life you would find him out in the garage working on his next great wood project or out at his weekly bowling league games.

Gail is preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice, his sister Carol Reffner, his wife Iris, his daughter Debra Pollock and son-in-law Michael Ouellette.

He is survived by his daughters Becky Costner (Mike) and Cathy Ouellette, son-in-law Jerry Pollock, his grandchildren Travis Pollock, Matt Pollock (Brenda), Courtney Pollock, Adrien Ouellette (Kara), Whitney Ouellette, and his great grandchildren Leiland, Ellie, and Ollie; other family and friends.

Graveside Service will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 6, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 13530 W. 109th St N., Bentley, Kansas.
