Sharon Joyce (Carlisle) May of Park City, KS formerly of Russell, KS passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 9 th , 2020. She was born February 25 th , 1938 to William Carlisle & Helen Woelk. She attended Russell High School & graduated in 1956. She was married in 1956 to Philip L. May. She became a bookkeeper for multiple construction supply companies & the horse training stable that Philip & Sharon owned together.
She was a natural born care taker raising two daughters. She took an early retirement to care for her mother in-law, grandmother, & mother in their later years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren teaching them how to crochet, cook, play cards & doing puzzles with them.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Philip L. May, daughter; Lisa (Russ) Baxter, son in-law; Doug Clark, grandchildren; Dallas Huebert, Brett (Kristin) Baxter, Bryan Baxter, great grandchildren; Blake Huebert, Morgan Huebert, Brooklyn Huebert, Dylan Nobert, brothers; Richard (Maria) Carlisle, Cecil (Margarita) Carlisle, sister in-law; Nevell Carlisle, half-sisters; Rita (Don) Johnson, Reba Ludwick. She is preceded in death by her parents; William Carlisle & Helen Woelk, daughter; Lana (May) Clark, brother; Victor Carlisle.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 22 nd , 2020 at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S Cedar, Valley Center, KS. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Condolences may be left at www.bakerfhvc.com
