Russell Alan Shonk, 67, lifetime resident of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on July 28, 2025. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Carroll L. Shonk and Enid (Redger) Shonk. He was a 1976 graduate of West High School. In his career he was a Designer Architect Draftsman and Estimator for Pro Build - Builders First Source for 29 years, retiring this year.

He enjoyed his time outside working on the lawn, landscaping, cleaning up with controlled fires and more. He had several projects down through the years with his cars, motorcycles, his CJ5 jeep and '02 Camero.

He is preceded in death by his brother Brian Shonk, dad Carroll Lloyd Shonk, his mom Enid Lucille Jesse and her husband Richard Jesse.

Russell is survived by his sister Debra Davis, nephews Jeremy Davis and Jordan Davis, brother-in-law Paul Davis, step brothers Mark Jesse and Rex (Marsha) Jesse, nieces Christy, Natasha and nephew Brian, great nieces and nephews, other family and friends, and the apple of his eye Catlynn Clark.

A Remembrance Celebrating his Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 18, at Northside Bible Chapel, 4510 East 61st St N, Kechi, KS 6706 7, followed by a luncheon to visit and share memories.
