Obituary

Rose Mary Tennyson, 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Louis and Evelyn (Smith) Rhoden. She attended elementary & North High School in Wichita. She met and married the love of her life, Elvin Merle Tennyson on May 20, 1960.

Rose was employed by Valley Center School District 262 where she drove buses. She enjoyed creating photo albums, doing crossword puzzles, reading western romances and spending time with her grandchildren.  Her greatest love was being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin Merle Tennyson, her parents Louis & Evelyn, brother Louis E. Rhoden, and granddaughter Courtney Tennyson.

Rose is survived by her sons, Robert Tennyson, Russell & Lou Tennyson, and Roger & Bythia Tennyson; grandchildren Nick Tennyson, Alex (Megan) Tennyson, Kirk (Lindsay) Tennyson, Melissa (Brandon) McConnell, Bayli Tennyson (Brandon Tabot), MaKenna Tennyson (Shane Byers); great grandchildren, Brighton McConnell, Prescott McConnell, Lilah Tennyson, and Rayla Byers; brother Leonard Rhoden; many other family and friends.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 at First United Methodist Church, 560 N. Park, Valley Center with visitation before the service 10-11. Graveside following at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.  Memorials may be designated in her memory to the American Heart Association.
