Rory Cornell Davis, born May 22, 1959, passed from this life at home on June 22, 2025, at age 66.  He was the only child of Fred Davis and Betty (Tucker) Mayfield, both originally from Missouri.

Rory grew up in Texas and graduated high school in Medicine Lodge. In 1979, he married Sondra Ricker (Harris). They were married for 21 years and together had a daughter, Robyn, and a son, Michael. As a young man, Rory worked in the oilfield. In 1983 he started working at National Gypsum and remained there until his retirement.

Rory was a lifelong collector of cars, trucks, and motorcycles; particularly Ford trucks and Harleys. He had a vast collection of music and weapons. He imparted a love of reading and music to his children.

Rory is preceded in death by his stepmother Grace Alleen Davis.  He is survived by his father, Fred Davis, of Topeka, KS; his mother, Betty (husband Lowell) Mayfield, of Lockwood MO; his daughter Robyn and grandson Jadein, of Kiowa, KS; and son Michael, of Kiowa, KS; his stepsister Pam Johnson; and stepbrothers Jeff, Jay, and Todd Morris.

Memorial services will be held in Medicine Lodge, with a date to be announced soon.
