Ronald Putman, son of George and Mary Putman, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 11, 2026. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, brother Steve/Charlene Putman, his children Billy Putman, Jackson/Madi Putman, Angela, Shona, Kami Savage, and Brandon Vann, along with many loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Jane Putman; brothers Rocky, Jimmy, Danny, and Bobby. 

Ron retired from KDOT. He was also a songwriter and musician. He had a passion for music and his band 52nd Street was popular in many venues across Wichita. Outside of his music he loved his Jayhawks, K.C Chiefs, and K.C Royals. He was loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 4th at 5:00 pm at Hap Mclean Park, 6801 N Hydraulic Ave, Park City, KS 67219.
