Pierpoint, Ronald Harlan, 74, Pierpoint Tree Farm owner, beloved father, grandfather and friend, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, January 14, 2012. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Ernest J. Pierpoint and Mildred (Harlan) Pierpoint. He was a 1956 graduate of East High School in Wichita, Kansas. Ron was a mechanic at Quality Chevrolet for 11 years. He started his tree farm in 1972 and continued to work it to present. Ron was also an avid sailor, often competing and racing even in the World Class Sailing Competition. He also loved his two English Mastiffs, gardening and car racing. He is survived by his sons, Chad (Lori) Pierpoint of Andover and Jeff Pierpoint of Wichita; grandchildren, Austin Pierpoint, Aaron Pierpoint, Alex Pierpoint and Alexa Pierpoint. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Millie Pierpoint, and sister, Suzanne Delgado. Services 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, at Pierpoint Tree Farm, Valley Center.
