Ronald Lee McCune of Wichita, Ks, 76, passed away, at home, surrounded by family, Friday December 20, 2019. He was born on November 20, 1943 in Seattle, Washington, to Dola Fern Timmons and Loren Dale McCune. To know Ronald was to love him. He loved to make those around him laugh and his family was his entire world. Ronald loved to help others and was someone you could always count on. He worked as a State meat inspector for the State of Kansas before he retired. Ronald took pride in umpiring baseball for many years as well as his hobby of word working. Ronald was full of many talents and will be missed dearly by his family and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He married his wife and best friend Sandra (Minard) McCune on December 2, 1964 and gave her fifty five beautiful years of love and friendship. He left a mark on this world that his family will forever remember and tell stories to generations to come. Ronald is preceded in death by his mother Dola Fern (Long) Timmons and his stepfather Gerald Timmons, father Loren McCune and stepmother Dorothy McCune, brother Gary Timmons, sister Kathy Kumpan and son in law Marty Dory & 2 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Louise McCune, brothers, Terry (Marcy) Timmons, David (Linda) McCune, daughters Sheila Leach and Stacy (Walt) Dory , son Steven (Tammy) McCune, grandsons Justin (Nicole) McCune, Casey (Joanna) Eveland, Dalton McCune-Seiler, Chanz (Ocean) McCune, Layne Dory, and Keenan McCune. granddaughters Kyra (Ronad) Rassel, Tia (Eric) McCune, Kelsey Eveland, Abby (Taylor) May, and Harley Dory and 12 great grandchildren, sister-n-law Betty Schomaker, brother-n-laws Bill (Sydney) Mindard, Bob (Becky) Minard, many nieces & Nephews

Service 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 26, at West Heights United Methodist Church, 745 N. Westlink Ave, Wichita, Kansas 67212. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
