Ronald Louis Marcotte, 79, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023. He was born in a farmhouse in Miltonville, Kansas to Ulysses Louis Marcotte and Marjorie (Liby) Marcotte and lived there until he was 14 years old. He attended Mount Carmel School, graduated 8th grade Twin Mounds which was a one room school house with 13 students (3 were brothers). He then attended Chapman High School for three years. Ronald was a life long resident of Wichita. Ronald worked as a heavy equipment Operator and Truck Driver until retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and family time.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Gary and Larry Marcotte, his granddaughter-in-law Destiny Green and his companion of 33 years Nona Newman.

Ron is survived by his daughter Christina Marcotte of Wichita, Ks, grandchildren Ron Green of Topeka, Nicole Green Wisniewski of Lawrence, Rhonda Michelle Bernice Green Ibarra and her husband Alex of Wichita; great grandchildren Quentin Green, Aria Green, Ryan Roach and Tatierra Altman; brother Bob Marcotte of Oklahoma City and sister Pam Smith of Abilene, Ks; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Services will be held 11 am, Friday, May 19, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Valley Center.  Graveside will follow at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.
