Obituary

Roger D. "Wishbone" Regehr, 71, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in Newton, Kansas.  He was born in Newton, Kansas to George D. Regehr and Lillie Friesen Regehr.  He was a long time resident of Sedgwick, Kansas.  He attended Valley Center schools and was a graduate of Valley Center High School. After graduation, he worked as a body repair and painter at a body shop early in his career followed by a long career working at J&M Harvesting.

Roger was a member of the American Legion in Sedgwick Kansas.  He enjoyed tinkering with and restoring old cars, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents George and Lillie, step-father P.F. Stuckey, his brother Rodney, and brother-in-law Bill Perkins. He is survived by his sons, Jesse (Adrienne) Regehr and Jake Regehr of Colorado, grandson Tristan, sister Wanda Joy Perkins, niece Suzan (Mark) Brinklow, nephew David (Debbie) Perkins, great nephews and nieces as well as many friends that he counted as family.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, KS.  Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 13530 W. 109th St. N., Bentley, Kansas.

A celebration of life will follow at the American Legion Post 268, Sedgwick Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be designated in his memory to: American Legion Post 268, 510 N. Commercial Ave, Sedgwick, Kansas 67135.
