Allan, Rodney Earl, 72, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was born in Melvern, Kansas to Earl C. Allan and Winnifred (Athens) Allan. The family moved to the Hutchinson area where he attended Buhler High School. On May 31, 1960, Rod married Samantha J. Entz, who preceded him in death. To this union were three children, who survive: Debbie Kelly and husband Tracy of Phoenix, Arizona, Randy Allan and wife Jackie of South Carolina and Robbie Allan of Hutchinson. On February 14, 1998, Rodney married Barbara Nichols and she survives. Other survivors include sisters Wanda Moore and her husband Hobert and Reba Jansen, both of Hutchinson; step children, Amy Brunk and husband Michael of Inman, Julie Klamczynski and husband Steve of Inman, Mark Wiley and wife Candice of Hutchinson and Lonnie Wiley of Wichita; grandchildren: Dawn Kelly, Allan Kelly, Ryan Allan, Josh Allan, Kirsten Allan, April McManus, Elizabeth Turner, Jessica Allan, Alicia Allan, Cooper Allan, Carly Allan, Jacinda Carlson, April Wiley, Levi Wiley, Alicia Wiley, Anthony Wiley, Derrick Wiley, Mackenzee Klamcyzynski, Taylor Klamcyzynski, Evan Klamcyzynski, Izzabell Klamcyzynski, Harrison Brunk, Olivia Brunk and Madelyn Brunk; great grandchildren, Sierra Lanning, Garrett Lanning, Logan Flowers, Christina Dickerson, Cage Kelly, Journey Allan, Kaylee Allan, Alyssa Allan, Madelyn McManus, Jaxson McManus, Jocelyn Quick, Ta'sha Martinez, Emmalynn Taylor and Jasper Allan; many other family and friends. He is also preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard E. Allan. Rod was the previous owner of the Top Shop in downtown Hutchinson. He was the co-founder of the Midstate Street Rods and was a lifetime car enthusiast. Services will be held 4 p.m., Friday, February 14 at the Countryside Covenant Church, 940 E. Northview, McPherson, Kansas. A private family burial will be held at the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Kansas. Memorials may be designated to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 500 N.
