ROBERT WAYNE SWARTZ, 76, retired Iron Worker Crane Operator, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. He was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Leonard Leslie Swartz and Violet May (Jantz) Swartz. He was a graduate of Valley Center High School, Valley Center, Kansas with the Class of 1958. He worked for Belger-Carter, Local 101, and a member of the Sunflower Branch Masonic Lodge and past Council Member for the City of Valley Center. He served with the Kansas Air National Guard. He is survived by his children Sandy (Wayne) Stewart of Bloomington, Illinois, Bobbi (Scott) Weed of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kimberley (Kyle) Couch of Wichita, Kandice Vester of Wichita and Kelly Vester of Wichita; grandchildren Casey (Jermi) Washington, Taylor Stewart, Molly Weed and Emily Weed, great grandchildren Samari, Taylynne and Jazmyn Washington; sister Marcia Burke of Valley Center; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Violet Swartz. Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Gracepoint Church, 9035 W. Central Ave., Wichita, Kansas.
