Kennedy, Robert Truman "Bob", 82, retired KG&E Supervisor, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 15, 2015. He was born in Newton, Kansas to Henry Preston Kennedy and Ruby (Davis) Kennedy. He was a graduate of Halstead High School, Halstead, Kansas. Bob was an Air Force and Korean War Era Veteran. On January 18, 1957, in Valley Center, Kansas, Bob married the love of his life, Betty Jo Carter. To this union they were blessed with two daughters and a son. Bob was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Valley Center, and a member of Asbury Methodist Church since 2002. He loved serving his Lord and Savior by serving others. After retiring from the electric company in the meter department, you may see him delivering flowers for Moore's Flowers or delivering Meals On Wheels. He also enjoyed visiting and doing prison ministry in these later years. Bob dearly loved his family and you would see him at any of the grandkids many activities. Bob is survived by his wife Betty Kennedy; children Susie Kennedy of Sedgwick, Sandra (Mark) Miller of Valley Center and Mark (Donna) Kennedy of Valley Center; grandchildren Emily (Jordan) Gonzalez), Jacob Miller, Whitney Miller, Luke Kennedy and Paige Jacob; sister Phyllis Severs of McPherson; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ruby Kennedy, brother Joe Kennedy, sisters Helen Gresham and Gladys Ropp.

Memorials may be designated in his memory to Asbury Church, 2801 W. 15th N., Wichita, Ks 67203 and CMO (Christian Ministry to Offenders), 216 E. 2nd St., Wichita, Ks 67202.
