Robert Marshall "Bob" Heston, a pretty good guy, passed on to Heaven Friday, October 29, 2021 at the age of 78. Bob was a Kansas man from his Wichita birth to his passing in Valley Center where he graduated in 1961. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a weatherman and Air Traffic Controller. He married his life-long love and wife of 56 years, Rita (Fletcher) Heston. The two raised their three children in Long Beach, California where they performed with the theatre troupe The Ha' Penny Players. Kansas called him back in 1983 and he worked hard as a salesman and in service to his Church family. He was a natural-born story teller and loved a good joke and bad pun. He is preceded in death by his son Kip (Marshall David) Heston, his brother Richard Heston and parents Harold and Dorothy (Major) Heston. He is survived by his wife Rita; daughters Kyttra Burge (David) and Julie Heston Fleming; grandchildren Ari Mangual, Darby Burge, Fletcher Burge, Ava Fleming, Leo Burge, Ashlyn Fleming, Xander Fleming; sister Virginia Bickel (Gary). At his request, there will be no service.
