Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dad, Robert “Bob” Ellis Hall, who passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 82 after a courageous two-year battle with esophageal cancer.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Andrew “Andy” and Vera Hall; his wife, Janice Hall; his brother, Ken Hall; and his son-in-law, Mark Heinz.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristine Heinz, Deborah (Doug) O’Rear of Valley Center, and Michelle (Curt) O’Rear of Park City; his sister, Cindy Prior; his brother, Bill Hall; his nephew, Brandon Prior of Sarona, Wisconsin; along with 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Bob was a standout athlete at Liberal High School and went on to attend Fort Hays State University. He had a passion for speed, whether behind the wheel of a fast car or at the helm of a race boat, and proudly earned the title of National Champion boat race driver.

Throughout most of his career, Bob worked as a design engineer and fabricator, but entrepreneurship was always part of who he was. Over the years, he owned and operated several businesses, always eager to build, create, and take on new challenges.

A true outdoorsman, Bob looked forward to spending part of each year at Long Lake in Wisconsin, where he found peace, adventure, and time with those he loved.

Bob never met a stranger. He cherished his family, valued hard work, and lived life with strength, determination, and a generous spirit. He leaves behind a lifetime of lessons, laughter, and memories that will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
