BEL AIRE, KS
Fernandez, Robert Joseph, 81, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and friend, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was born in Havana, Cuba to Jose Fernandez and Josephine (Spittler) Fernandez He married Mary Rouchka on June 14, 1956. He served and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He also retired from the Miami Herald as a Purchasing Agent. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fernandez, children, Robert (Teri) Fernandez, Jr. of Bel Aire, Toni (Randy) Wiggins of Wichita, Kathy (Randy) Wilson of Wichita, Stephanie Fernandez of Bel Aire, and Bruce (Jennifer) Fernandez of Park City; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Josephine Fernandez. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, at the Church of the Resurrection, 4910 N. Woodlawn, Wichita. Burial following the service at Ascension Cemetery, 7200 E. 45th St. N., Wichita. Memorials to the The Lord's Diner Catholic Diocese of Wichita. Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center.
