VALLEY CENTER, KANSAS
Formerly of Mansfield and Springfield, Missouri
ROBERT WESLEY BROWN,
79, wonderful brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Exeter, California to Lloyd Washington and Floy Maye Brown. The family moved from California to Mansfield, Missouri where Robert was raised. He attended school there and was a graduate of Mansfield High School. Robert joined the U.S. Army in 1961 to 1967 and was stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas. He was an exceptional marksman. He worked for LB Price from 1967 until they were sold, and then continued as a Salesman until 2011 when moving to be close to family in Wichita. He enjoyed watching and following the St. Louis Cardinals and Springfield Cardinals. He loved to hunt, fish and be with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Maye Brown, brothers Eugene Brown and Johney Christopher Brown, and sister Hazel King. Robert is survived by his best friend and little dog 'Taffey'; sister Beulah Dahna of Valley Center, Ks; niece Faye (Dennis) Dahna of Valley Center, Ks; a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; many great friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated in his memory to Heartland Hospice of Wichita, Kansas.
Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, Missouri. He will be laid to rest following the service. Condolences may be left for the family at
