Broadfoot, Robert Harry , 88, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was born in Moline, Illinois to James Robert Broadfoot and Amelia (Schnell) Broadfoot. He was a 1945 graduate of Moline High School, Moline, Illinois and he attended Moline Community College. On July 8, 1945 in Moline, Illinois, he married the love of his life Arlene Grace Johnson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving both in World War II and the Korean War. He worked for John Deere. He retired after 27 years with Boy Scouts of America and District Executive of the Quivira Scout Council. He was a 73 year member of the Scouts. He also served as president of the Rotory Club in Kansas and Illinois. He is survived by his children Gary R. Broadfoot of N. Manchester, Indiana, Dale I. Broadfoot of Indianapolis, Indiana and Luan E. Broadfoot of Bel Aire, Kansas; grandchildren Gary Robert Broadfoot, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, Linda Broadfoot and husband Jeff Arvin of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kyle Broadfoot of Norman, Oklahoma and Laura Broadfoot of Bel Aire, Kansas; brother Richard (Lucille) Broadfoot of DeWitt, Iowa and sister-in-law Claire Johnson of Moline, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his wife Arlene Broadfoot, parents James and Amelia 'Peg' Broadfoot.

Services 11 a.m., Monday, June 15, at First United Methodist Church, 801 N. Main, Newton . Graveside will be Saturday, July 18, 10:30 a.m. at Greenview Memorial Gardens, 1201 Ave of the Cities, Moline, Illinois. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center.
