ROBERT DEAN BATES, 65 years old, retired U.S. Postal Service Carrier, passed away on October 26, 2015 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Alvie R. Bates and Dolores Catherine (Orth) Bates. He was a graduate of Heights High School, Wichita, Kansas. He was a U.S. Army and Vietnam War Veteran. He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Barbara (Rick) Watkins of Texas, Billy (Jinny) Bates of Wichita, Jerry G. Bates of Wichita and Linda (Don) McGinty of Wichita; many nephews and nieces, other family and friends. Private Family Services will be held.
