With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ricky Junious Norman, who left us on April 25, 2026, at the age of 72.

Rick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who meant so much to those around him. He was known for his deep love of his family and sports. He loved playing basketball and watching the game—especially cheering on his favorite team, KU. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren play their favorite sports and activities and proudly cheering them on.

Rick cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, when they came over to spend the night. He was known for making the best strawberry shakes and root beer floats. He loved pouring higher!!! He enjoyed having his whole family gathering together for meals. His favorite foods were ham sandwiches and T-Bone Steaks, as long as you cook it well!

When his great-grandson came along, Rick found joy in building forts and car ramps with him. He was especially looking forward to meeting his newest great-grandson, Bowen.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Norman; his four daughters, Dawn Welborn (Troy), Erica Hohl, Destiny Sanders, and Nicole Jacobson (Cody); his grandchildren, Adrianna, Darryan, Blake, Isaiah, Lexi, Isabella, and Isley; and his great-grandchildren, Adrian and Bowen. His memory will live on through all of us.

We know our Papa is in heaven looking down on us—“Geeeeet ’em, Baby Papa!”

A memorial service will be held at Baker Funeral Home-Valley Center May 30 at 10:30 a.m.
