Rickey Wayne Phillips Sr., 71, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 10th, 2026.

He was born on Tuesday, September 21, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas to Harvey Lee and Clarris Lee Phillips. Rick spent the majority of his working years working at Apartment Movers and was known for his strong work ethic and caring heart. He "retired" in 2018 but continued to work part time when they needed him.

Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren deeply. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in being a dad and grandpa. His family was the center of his world.

Rick will be remembered for his generous spirit. He would give anyone anything he had and was always willing to help someone in need. His kindness and selflessness touched many lives.

He is survived by his children, Brian (Tami) Phillips, Rickey Jr. (Myra) Phillips, Eva (Chris) Alano, Jesse Poole, Chrissy (Chris) Jeffries, and Destiny Windler; his beloved 21 grandchildren. Also survived by his brother, Jimmy Phillips, and sisters Patricia (Mike) Moyer and Sue Brewer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Clarris Phillips, sister Sharon Kay Coy, brother Jerry Phillips, and brother-in-law Curtis Brewer.

A viewing will be held on Monday, April 20th, 2026, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be held following at LeVenue 109 W. Main, Valley Center, Kansas. Please dress casual and wear KC Chiefs shirts or colors if possible.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and all who knew him.
