Obituary

Rickey (Rick) Jake Weaver, 82 of Little River, KS passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of family and friends.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1944 to Jake and Gwen (Goodin) Weaver.  He was a proud graduate from Ravanna High School, Ravanna, MO in 1961.

Rick was united in marriage to the love of his life, Rosemary Middleton Weaver on February 28, 1962, from that union they were blessed with four sons, Todd, Michael, Dennis and Timothy.

Rick and Rosemary left Mercer County, Missouri in 1967 for Davenport, Iowa where Rick served eight years as a Police Officer for the Davenport Police Department.  He then went to work for Hallett Construction in Davenport and transferred to Little River, Kansas in 1980 where he managed the rock quarry for Hallett Construction and later years with APAC, Hutchinson, Kansas. Upon retirement he continued to operate heavy equipment for Venture Corporation.  Rick and Rosemary spent many winters in Donna, Texas.

Rick loved his family and enjoyed gatherings with family and friends.  He always knew what his grandchildren were doing and couldn't wait for them to report back to him.  He was the absolute best "story teller".  Rick was a wealth of knowledge and no matter your "age" he always offered you traveling advice or advice in general…because he cared!
