Wichita, Kansas - Dick Sanders (89) passed away March 20, 2021 in Wichita, KS. He was born in Wichita to Lotus & Ruby (Luce) Sanders. He was a life long resident of Wichita, graduating from Wichita North High School. He attended WSU before signing a professional baseball contract with the New York Yankees. When his baseball career ended he moved back to Wichita opening an insurance agency while continuing to play semi-pro baseball.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, wife Treva, daughters Bonnie and Kim.

He is survived by his son Kyle (Tammy), grandsons Kooper (Bree), Kruze (Jade) and Kord, great grandchildren Hyde and Kimberly, sisters Carolyn Holmes and Joyce Northrop and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Glenn Park Christian Church Wednesday April 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com.
